Workshops
South London workshops in different styles of bellydance choreography, props and technique for all levels held regularly. Past workshops include assaya, zills, veil, drum solo, Tribal Fusion and Reggaeton Fusion technique and choreography. Students who participate in choreography workshops are invited to join rehearsals and perform at the Brixton Hafla. Please see the schedule below for upcoming workshops.
Guest Courses
We offer short guest courses in south London with visiting dance professionals in different styles of bellydance. Past courses include Egyptian cabaret with Khaled Mahmoud, Tribal Fusion bellydance with Kim Mackoy and Hannah Mi, and American nightclub bellydance with Nina Kessler. August 19-September 9 Veil Technique and Choreography 4-week Course with Anna
- Thursdays 7:30-8:30pm, £32, £9 drop-ins
- Open to all bellydancers with a strong foundation in basic technique

Learn how to paint pictures with a slip of fabric. A veil is one of the most iconic images for bellydancers around the world, most highly developed by Turkish dancers in the American nightclubs of the 50's and 60's. Learn American Northwestern style veil technique incorporating aeroplane spins, shoulder flips, butterflies and envelopes. The first class of this short 4 week course will focus on basic veil technique with each of the following classes working towards building a full choreography
Special 4 week Individual Choreography Course
- Sundays, September 19 - October 10. Times T.B.A.
- £28 Advanced Payment only
Working with advanced students on creating individual short pieces of choreography to piece together into a full dance. The first 2 classes will be used as a choreography surgery for student work and the last 2 classes will teach the group choreography that bring it all together. The final dance will be rehearsed and performed at the Winter Hafla. If you are interested in participating in this project please contact Anna for further details.
Improver Zill Choreography Workshop

A choreography with something for every level of dancer. The choreography is simple enough for Improver level dancers to learn and enjoy and the optional finger cymbol patterns will challenge any dancer working on perfecting their percussive skills whilst dancing! Finger cymbols can be provided - please contact us before the workshop if you need to borrow a set. Participants are invited to join rehearsals for performance at the Brixton Winter Hafla December 5.

A fantastic new peice with a comedic twist! Dooms, Teks and a little shimmie communication... This is a choreogaphy with characters and a story line for work towards performance at the Brixton Winter Hafla. We won't hold anything back so come prepared for a challenge and ready to work!
